4 Important Steps To Losing Weight

Step 1
Get a notepad and write down the reasons you want or need to lose weight. Along with your ideal weight and the time frame you would want to reach this weight class. (Keep in mind being realistic without underestimating yourself is key in losing weight.) This notepad should also be used to document short and long term accomplishments.

Step 2
Go to your refrigerator and food cabinets and get rid of 95% if not all of the fatty foods and unhealthy snacks. (You do not have to necessary throw these foods away. You could actually donate them or give them to people in need.) By fatty foods I mean: ham, steak, and pork etc. These should get replace with fish, chicken, and turkey. Assuming you are not allergic to any of these. And also replace the unhealthy snacks like chocolate chip cookies, potatoes chips, and cake etc. With fruits, salads, vegetables, and whole wheat/ high fiber snacks. Also replace soda and other beverages with high fructose corn syrup with bottle water and natural juices. Which could be purchased at your local supermarket or a health food market.

Step 3
Now time to exercise. If you are new to this I would suggest you start out by committing yourself to an exercise schedule for 30 minutes to 1 hour, 5 days a week. (Once your body gets use to exercising everyday you should increase the minutes and hours). The good part is you could exercise in the comfort of your home on your own time schedule. Such exercises like sit-ups, jumping jacks, running in place, and push-ups would do the trick. And if you are an outdoor person or would like to go outside for a change of pace. Power walking, walking up steps and jogging in or around a park is very effective towards losing weight and burning calories.

Step 4
Now that we have the basics covered. The next most important things to do is stay committed and disciplined to this program. Try your best to make it a routine. There is a good chance you will not see results over night, but then again are there any programs or proven systems on the market which show over night success, no. You will not see results right away but trust me in a few days you will feel healthier then before. And after a month or two you will without a doubt see the payoff for all of your hard work and determination.
